Brad and Judy Niemeyer designed the layout, instructions, and foundation papers for the Blue Moon Placemats.
A sewing technique called foundation paper piecing is used to assemble the units required to make this quilt. Curved piecing is used to join the units after the foundation piecing is completed.

This pattern is from the Fireworks Mixer Series designed by Quiltworx.com. Mixer patterns offer lots of different units designed at the same size, which can be mixed and matched to create the quilt of not only your preferred size, but also your preferred combination of blocks and fabrics.
